This course will provide an update on the insolvency industry. This course is being organised through a partnership between CIIPA and the Recovery and Insolvency Specialists Association (RISA). RISA members who are not also CIIPA members can sign up to the event as a non-member. The course runs from 3 - 5 p.m. and will be followed by networking until 6:30 p.m.

Presenters
Charlotte Walker
Charlotte works in the Dispute Resolution Practice Group at Appleby and is admitted to practice in Cayman, British Virgin Islands and England & Wales. Charlotte is an English solicitor-advocate, with over 13 years’ post-qualification experience, specializing in high-value cross-border commercial litigation, with a particular focus on contentious insolvency, asset tracing and restructuring. Charlotte is a lecturer on the INSOL International and RISA Cayman “Introductory Certificate in Insolvency Law and Practice in the Cayman Islands” and is a current candidate on the INSOL Global Insolvency Practice Course (Fellowship).
Jason Robinson
Jason Robinson, Senior Managing Director at Teneo, has over 15 years of experience assisting clients in the financial services sector and has played a central role in various cross-border restructuring and insolvency matters. Jason is a CPA of Canada, qualified insolvency practitioner in the Cayman Islands, and a Fellow of INSOL International.
Charith Seneviratne
Charith is a Manager with Teneo in the Cayman Islands and has over 7 years of corporate restructuring, insolvency and advisory experience across the sectors of financial services, digital assets, construction, transport and logistics, hospitality and mining. He has consulted on engagements in Australia and the Cayman Islands which often involved complex financial investigations, asset recovery and litigation across multiple jurisdictions.
Charith is qualified as a Chartered Accountant in Australia with CA ANZ and as a Certified Fraud Examiner with the ACFE. He also holds an INSOL Certificate in Insolvency Law and Practice in the Cayman Islands.
Charith is a member of the Teneo Digital Assets and Blockchain team and holds certifications with Chainalysis. Charith is also a Committee member of the Cayman Islands chapter of the Crypto Fraud and Asset Recovery network (CFAAR), as well as a Board Member, Secretary and Social Committee member of the Cayman Islands chapter of the ACFE.
Jennifer Colegate
Jennifer Colegate is a Partner based in Baker & Partners’ Cayman Islands office. She is a commercial litigator specialising in cross-border insolvency and restructuring, with expertise in investigations, asset tracing and enforcement and recovery. Jennifer has extensive experience advising on various issues arising in complex cross-border insolvencies with particular experience in North America, APAC and increasingly the Middle East. Prior to practising in the Cayman Islands Jennifer worked in Hong Kong and London. Jennifer has advised on restructurings of SIVs, RMBS and CMBS vehicles and other structured products adversely affected by crises touching on a range of jurisdictions. Related to her insolvency work, Jennifer regularly advises on matters concerning asset-tracing and recovery, and judgment enforcement work. Jennifer’s practice also includes advising directors of financial distressed companies. Jennifer is ranked in Chambers & Partners and Legal500 and described in Chamers & Partners 2024 as being “whip smart and super responsive; she is a major asset”.
