Alfred Tweneboah
Alfred Tweneboah FCA is the Director of Regulatory Affairs and Policy at the Cayman Islands Institute of Professional Accountants (CIIPA).
CIIPA is designated as a Supervisory Authority under Cayman’s Anti-Money Laundering Regulations for firms of accountants, who are a Designated Non-Financial Business and Profession.
In line with the AMLRs, Alfred oversees CIIPAs responsibility to effectively monitor each of its DNFBPs conducting relevant financial business compliance with the AMLRs.
Alfred is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. His initial experience in Financial Services was as a Big-4 Auditor in Investment Management, working both on and offshore.
More recently, Alfred spent almost 5 years as Senior Policy Advisor for the Ministry of Financial Services and Commerce, and was heavily involved in the efforts to remove the jurisdiction from the FATF/EU lists as well as working with the Financial Services Legislative Committee to develop legislation that enhanced or benefited the jurisdictions Financial Services Industry.
